The theme this year appeared to be "wardrobe malfunction." I tried to take it to another level this year and purchased some pretty over-the-top outfits, pictured here in the advertisements that sold me:
And here we see what happens in real life, when one attempts to photograph live cats in these festive outfits:
Not quite the same effect, is it? Sigh... I tried to use some other new props, with limited success:
In doing so, however, I did get a shot of Jackson that should make Grumpy Cat very nervous about competition!
I then brought Rowdy into the house and tried to involve him. He was as stoic as always, and his inner rock star really came out this year. Well, inner rock star or dressed-up toddler, not sure which image is more accurate....
Then Jackson showed up and I'm not sure what he said to Rowdy, but that was the end of Rowdy posing for me!
I have to guess that Jackson was reminding Rowdy of the TV ad we saw recently, which I will probably use as inspiration for NEXT year's photos. If you haven't already seen this, you really must: Temptations Christmas Ad
